holes in engine compartment

Postby 73Vegaguy » Fri Mar 12, 2010 2:28 pm

The engine compartment of my '73 GT has two roughly rectangular slots in the sheet metal below the driver's side headlight. They are roughly 1/2"x2 1/2" large. One is fully visible, the other is slightly more forward and continues under the front header panel. I have a pretty good guess they're not stock. If they aren't I'd like to seal them up while I'm freshening up the paint. Does anyone know if the car was originally built this way? Thanks!
