Is there a way to tell the difference between a 74 and a 76 vega that has no vin tag..

74 and 75 look identical, but the nose of a 76 is way different. Same with the tail lights. Just Google some pictures and you'll see.

74/75 will have a 4-link rear suspension, 76/77 will have a torque arm rear with a panhard bar. 76/77 have larger taillights with amber turn signals, 74/75 have smaller square turn signals. If the tail lights are missing the rear valance panel has holes that match the tail light sizes.

As previously stated the header panel and headlight buckets are different also, but those are bolt on items that can be changed fairly easy.

Then every thing mentioned EXEPT the tail lights and tail light panel is still valid.
