Vega GT wheels are a satin-finished gray (not dark grey - they are a lighter shade than Camaro/Chevelle mag wheel)
Black GT wheels were used on '77 Vega GT (there were two trim options that year for the Vega GT) one of them included: black GT wheels, black sport mirrors, black window trim, rocker moldings deleted, VEGA GT sport side stripes and Vega GT rear decal The other '77 Vega GT trim option had the satin grey wheels, body-color sport mirrors (intro '74), chrome window trim, chrome GT fender emblems and rear Vega nameplate all of which were always used previously ('71-'76) I've also seen the '77 GT black trim/stripe version with the satin wheels as well (on low mileage originals-no explanation-maybe a late change)
Body-color "GT" wheels introduced on '76 Vega as a non-GT option. White "GT" wheels used on '74 non-GT "Spirit of America" Vega hatchback.
The Vega GT wheels were used on the Monza Spyder starting in '77 (black), and were also offered as an option (body-color) on other Monzas, and were included (body-color) on some Astres (GT, Formula), Sunbirds, Skyhawks and Starfires with chrome trim added to slots. They were also used on the Starfire Firenza without trim rings.
