Correct Bullet Style Mirrors for Vega

Postby K3ViN » Sun Jun 10, 2012 4:23 am

What is the correct bullet style mirrors for the 1975 Vega?

Is it the one that is installed on the 2nd Gen Camaros and Firebirds or is the the Stud type that is installed on G-bodies and A-Bodies?

I have the stud type. The one without the little screw in the pedestals but by keen observation I think that they won't sit right on the doors. The mirrors are a bit tilted inwards.

For a Vega it's the little bracket to the door & then a screw from mirror base to the bracket type.
Some of the mid 70's Camaro mirrors are the same.
In fact the passenger side mirror on my Vega is from the 74 Camaro I used to own.

Same as Camaro 73-81. According to my old Mitchell collision estimating guide it lists same part numbers for 73-81 Camaro and 74-77 Vega.

Thanks for the Input Guys! It was a real help, and Jeff if you don't remember me I am the guy you sent pictures about the pulley setup on a Pontiac OHC6 when A/C is installed years ago.

I would really be interested in one but shipping would be a pain here in the Philippines. It turns out the mirrors I bought came from a C3 vette because of a slight C curve on the pedestals. They wont sit that flush on the flat doors of the Vega.
