My recollection is that they were chrome bezels. Were they supposed to have been blacked out? maybe only on the white version.
Black spyders got chrome bezels.
I'd chip in something for that resto pack, would be cool to know.. The car appeared to have the original back door on it with the MAT sticker on it.

When I read this earlier today I didn't realize you were asking? Remember the pics Jack P. sent us of the black Mirage.

Marco, makes more sense since the body color was black. Gold might of been better 8) It's a mystery I say we find out. Brian

Couple things to note on the black one above, has Cosworth wheels and I question the tires being stock, they appear to have spacers behind them for how they line up with the edge of the fender opening.

Head light bezels are blacked out on this one and the striping is also different than the junkyard photo! :?:

The back tires look wide too and the spacer makes it fit perfect. It's a great look!

I wondered about the bezels it just seems that if the headlights were reflecting light the bezels would also if they weren't blacked out. You can see the trim on top of the bumper shows some light too.

Now that you mention the stripe from the junkyard Mirage it does look to have a double black pen stripe in the gold. The MATC 1 Mirage doesn't seem to have it.

I'd still like to get the report for this car. Might not be the MAT car but if it is a real Black Mirage it is worth finding out.

Bryan, keep up the good work dude!

I really, really wish that MAT photo was in colour. The Black Mirage with gold striping and script would look absolutely fantastic, black/gold is the best colour combo on an H-Body IMO.

Well, yeah, I guess you've got me there. Truth be told, I would actually have preferred a deep yellow or a copper-coloured orange Spyder with graphics over the black, something that stands out more, has more pop on the road. Still love my black Spyder but really wish I had taken the plunge with a different colour that just repainting what it already was. BUT, a Mirage with black/gold, 10x better than the red, white and blue offering. They look soo much better, but since i live in the country with a gravel road and driveway, I'm beginning to like black less and less every year. :)

I was wondering what happened to that car. Apparently nothing has happened to that car. I was hoping to get the VIN# so eventually we could get a vehicle report for it down the road, not that the Scorpion is a GM item, but the report would confirm it once and for all. Unfortunately because I am Canadian, I, for some reason, am not permitted to ask the seller any questions. Can someone email the guy for me and get a VIN#? Just tell the gut it is for the Monza Homestead site. Or he can email it to me at fyrftr422@hotmail.com

Cheers!

The reason you cant contact them is because they've only listed it in the US and not Canada. I had to change my selling area once so a buyer from Canada could bid on it. I think if you go to ebay community and search their user name, you can contact them that way! :th:
