astre body tag

I did some research and come up with very little. I have a 73 Astre gt tag i would like decoded.
GT 73 7HV77 ST are the first few characters. So i see it as " GT , 1973, the next number is 7 and a very clear 7 but Astre is supposed to be 2, then H is for astre and v is vega then st i couldn't find anything with st. Does anyone else know what this could mean?

77 is 2 door coupe, that part is correct

Are you referring to the TRIM tag or the VIN?

the first line of the body tag

I'll try and reword this. In the first line of the body tag i have on this one, GT 73 7HV77. Now the car is supposed to be an 73 Astre GT . I'm just trying to verify this. That first number 7 after GT 73 is supposed to be a 1 or 2 or 3 or 4, there is no code breakdown for the 7. I believe its Chev, Pontiac , Olds and Buick. Any help at all?
