Does anyone have any info on this V-8 Conversion? The 1st pictures name states it is a Harrel Street Vega. Is this the Old Funny Car Driver Dick Harrel? He ran Vega's in the 70"s

I kinda like the Wheels, and the Blacked out Tail Light Panel.

OK I did some Googling and found out this car was a Product of Dick Harrel, the wheels were made by Kelsey Hays (about 4 miles from my home in Romulus Michigan) for Dick Harrel and sold as DH Mags. And that Dick Harrel Died on 12 September 1971 at Toronto International Raceway in his 1971 Vega Funny Car. Apparently he sold converted cars, and speed equipment also. I was living in TX at the time and was more interested in Nascar than Drag Racing at the time.

That Skyhawk on snowflakes looks to be a D.A.E.

Rally is also my favorite form of motorsport :th:

I found a few on the Wayne State University Site. The 1st is from a 1976 anti Busing Protest. The second is from 1975 some rot I do not remember, and the 3rd is from 1972 the starting line on Belle Isle of the "carry on Regardless Rally?

Wow a lot of cars you just don't see many of any more: Pinto, Mustang II, An Austin [mini or America?], International Scout, VW Kamback, an EXP, a Citation, and a Datsun P/U and a few I don't recognize! Cool Pic! Harry

Don't know how DBurger spots them! Took me awhile to find the H-body (just one, right?). Is that a Volvo 1800ES in the bottom right?

Neat Rally picture too!

Thanks,
Larry

It is definatly not a P1800 ES, they have the crome hatch hinges extend down into the glass, I am thinking it is an early 70's Toyota or Datsun Hatch Back, But what exact model I don't know.

I also spotted the Ford Futura, and to the right of the Pinto is that a Plymouth Sapporo?
