Hi all..
anyone who knows how much oil
to put in a buick v6 231?
poured 2.5 litres in it, doesnt even show on the dipstick.

Liters?
Where are you from and where are you getting liters of oil?...haha
Anywho

A liter is 1000ml and a quart of oil is 946ml

so all in all youve only got a little under 2.5 quarts of oil in there.
It should hold at least 3 1/2 - 4 quarts in the pan with a stock oil pan....plus the 1/2qt. filter.

I can't remember exactly but I thought it was 4 or 4.5 quarts, maybe its 5, I can't remember anymore, put 4 quarts/liters in and see what the stick says

YEA WE'RE STILL TRYING TO GET A HANDLE ON YOUR METRIC SYSTEM HEAR IN THE STATES. IT'S REALLY THROWN A MUNKEY WRENCH IN EVERY THING. I GUESS IT'S JUST THE PRICE WE PAY FOR TRYING TO GET EVERYONE ON THE SAME PAGE SO TO SPEAK------------------
