TWIST TO 350 BUICK in a ROADHAWK
NOW I am in need of help. want to put my 77 buick 350 into a 79 'hawk , BUT
It is a manual 9.5 clutch car. fly wheel wont work on a 350. Thus a '70 buick 350 flywheel, OD diam teeth 13.375
Have Brute force clutch and hvy duty clutch spring plate dia of plate is 12.00 , clutch is diam 11.75 and all bolts up to flywheel great.
ISSUE: clearance , will new clutch and fly fit in old BOP manual H-body BELL? 2nd starter, will anything now go into hole? is flywheel of manual 9.5 a same diam 13.375 outside teeth?????
anyone have a flywheel off a 9.5 to measure? told 11 455 manual wont for sure go into bell, not sure on Buick 10.5 clutch setup.
next pilot hole? 77 Lesabre motor, would this be predrilled at factory or not for pilot on crank?
Put a 455 in an APOLLO nova sister, fit but real tite, ONLY way 455 will go into a H car is to take radiator out, and suck it under the nose cone like Corvette at an angle. the water pump goes by my measurement to be about 1inch into radiator core at the stump of the water pump just a bell bolted on. Electric fans small would have to be on radiator under nose cone.
Side by side 350 and 455 Buick are same width, same mount pads. same bell.
If someone tried Olds 455 why not go better, cadillac 500cuin motor, 650ft lb torq, 400 horse nothing done to motor. Put on Edlebrock intake and performance came and lifters, nothing else and push 440 hp , you would stand the car on its A##.
But if anyone can help me on a 350 and a manual gear set up , need help no books
