Oil pan mods

Ok It appears the engine i fitted to my car has a split bore (not concerned as it was only a stop gap engine until i saved up more $ to do a decent engine )
I am thinking at this stage of fitting a crate motor to my car ,a 350 hp late model roller cam engine with a 1 piece rear main seal
questions
has anyone done this
can the oil pan from the late model engine be modified (ie hammered ) so that it will clear the steering ?
Is there an easy option ?
lastly do i cut up my Monza sump and the vortec sump and make a custom pan ???........remember this is Australia and h body parts are really hard to come by !
reason for thinking late model roller block is the zink (zddp issue) in modern oils and flat tappet cams plus it is easier to convert to a roller now than later
Is my thinking reasonable or am i not thinking right ?
