IMHO, if you go with a 2WD S-10 rear end then stick with the 72 bracket set up as the S-10 rear ends do not have a place for the torque arm to attach. As mentioned you will need to fabricate a pan hard mount also not to mention you will need to locate and buy all these additional parts. If you already have the a S-10 rear, take some measurements, cut off the 72 brackets and weld them on the S-10 rear and bolt it back up. Just saying.
