New to this forum, but was an member of the old Hbody forum. I have a 1980 Spyder, with a 350/700r4, S10 spindles and rear. I want to go back to the 3.8, and I have one from '00 F-body with the t-5. I plan on using the bellhousing, but replacing the t-5 with a Tremec-600 % speed I have. I have a fabbed-up swing arm mount that does not use the transmission to mount to, so that should not be an issue.

Can I use the original style 3.8 motor mounts with the Series II engine? Or will I need to fab some one-offs? I assume I will need to fab the transmission mount.

Any experience with swap is greatly appreciated.

-Jeff

Jeff,
Search under the project threads for my build.
Mine is on hold while I build a new house but I did cover the motor mounts. I don't recommend using the F-body ones.

Btw, I'm doing a 3800/4L60E from a '98 Camaro.
