Milodon to make 1 piece rear seal oil pans

Postby gotmud7 » Sat Feb 23, 2013 10:09 pm

Hey all. I went to the Rod and Race Expo in St. Charles, IL today. I talked to Ken Sink. He is the Vice President of Sales for Milodon, Inc. He said they would make me an oil pan for a newer 1 piece rear main seal engine. The catch is, I have to buy at least 5. Ok. I'll take one. Now are there 4 others that want in on this? It would be the same as their 31070 pan, but for a newer block. These pans are shorter than the Moroso pans, and accept a longer stroke.

Let me know!

Same as their current Vega pan. They just start with a different stock pan.

Hey Mark I'm interested but I don't have room for the extra deep sump, my project is going to be more ProTour/road race style (and hopefully performance) I can't give up that much ground clearance on a street going car. The summit price on the quoted pan isn't horriblle I'm sure the custom pans will be more, but I'm happy that the aftermarket has any interest in our cars and that is because people like yourself are out there poking around! :pook: Please keep us updated on their progress watching closely and Many Thanx I think that I will send them an email to seek out what I need and plug our board and mention you/your post. Harry I guess I'll call as there website has no customer service by email :bang: only web concerns H.R.

I received a question about how much, if any, lower does a Milodon pan sit below a stock V8 Monza pan. I don't have an answer. But here is a pic that might help

I ordered a engine from Smeding Performance. They contacted Milodon to make a 1 piece seal pan for me. It's getting shipped directly to Smeding to put on the new engine. So far I've waited 9 weeks. If you want one give them a call now, because it should be any day now! (Actually it should have been 5 weeks ago.)

Chuck,
That oil pan is still available from Milodon. It's for the 2 piece block. The one I'm having made is for the newer 1 piece blocks.

So the one your getting is for an 1987 and up block? What motor are you getting from them? They have some nice combos on their site.
