I picked up (No Named) aluminum chevy heads and air gap intake at a yard sell for a song and dance. Guy was saying he was bending push rods with the heads
After getting them home and kind of cleaning them. I started to investigating why he was bending the rods. Placing the Valve and laying a rocker arm on I notice some of rocker studs was 1/4in off center.
Gut feeling says to have them rewelded and drilled/tap in the right local. But, Easy fix for me at home would be a lock tight threaded aluminum stock. Milling off flat. redrilling/taping for studs,,
My thinking, It would be less stress on the heads this way.
Any thoughts on it?
