LS1 project

Postby partouz » Sun Mar 02, 2014 12:51 pm

Hello guys. I already have a 350 engine with turbo350 transmission. It's ok but realize I should wait and go all in into a injection setup. Being said I'm now considering to switch the engine the engine for a LS1, any big modification like cutting and welding requires compare to a factory v8 engine??

I also consider keeping the automatic transmission setup as I have the tail housing. I would totally consider going for with an overdrive transmission. Any suggestion as which model you guys suggest and a differential gear ratio as I know I will have to go toward 3.73 as I have 3.25 right now.

Thank in advance for any input.

It's not the easiest swap but can be done so that you could put it back to stock if you wanted. I used Bob Gumm motor mounts with adapter plates, bolted up a th350 trans, the oil pan was aftermarket. I used modified 98 F-body manifolds. It was efi.
