Dual exhaust system

Postby robson » Sun Jan 11, 2015 1:28 pm

I have a 78 Monza 2=2 spyder V8. The car has an automatic transmission at this time. The car came with a 4sp Sag. and I am changing the car back to 4sp. I am taking the headers off and replacing them with stock exhaust manifold. Will I have any trouble getting past the clutch throw out bearing arm with the drivers side exhaust pipe. The exhaust will come out from under the car just in front of rear tire. Thanks.

Sounds like you are basically going back to stock, so should be no problem. If you are going to run true duals off the manifold then you will need to modify the exhaust anyway and you should not have any issue with the clutch fork.

If you are are going to put in duels you may want to to look at using gen 3 camaro l-69 ho or tpi manifolds . see more on this in engine tech section .
