Air Fuel Ratio Analysis with Sensor

Postby finest20 » Fri Mar 06, 2015 11:24 am

Hello
I have a question about air fuel ratio testing. I have a 355 v8 Vega. This year I installed an air/fuel sensor in the header pipe so I can monitor this ratio and adjust my carb accordingly. My question is this: I usually run my Vega on a mix of 93 octane pump gas and AV GAS (100 low lead). Will this small amount of lead ruin the sensor? I know the manufacturer says not to use leaded gas, but I assume LEADED gas has alot more lead than the AV GAS....and I am only using 50 % of the AV GAS in my mix so the actual qualtity of lead should be real low. I was just wondering what the group thinks about this still ruining my sensor.
