Swapping in 3.3l v6.

Postby Mandie » Wed Sep 30, 2015 10:13 am

Hi. Im new here. Bought a Vega 74 few weeks ago along with the 71 style front. It has been sitting ina garage for 32 years. Previous owner took it apart for restoration and bought in loads of new parts, he almost finished the bodywork but then stopped. Im living in Norway.

He bought a 3.3l v6 from a malibu that he was supposed to swap in. My question is if anyone here has seen the mount he got on that engine and if i can use them?

They seem to bolt on. But the v6 is shorter then the v8, will i have a problem with a gap between the engine/tranny/driveline/rear end?
The granny is a TH350

Anyone know? Thanks
Chris

Chris,

Power By Ace shows mounts and installation kits (scroll down the page), but I've not heard of anyone successfully receiving an order from them yet.
