Perfect home for that v12 would be a first gen(70-72) Monte Carlo. Fan shroud was about a foot long in order to take up the big space between the rad and engine.

Every time I look in the engine bay of an early Monte I say to myself "that thing needs a V12".
If I had the coin I'd have one with a Falconer 12 in it. Just a small one. Around 520 cu.in.

A very good friend of mine is building this Pro Street Monte; it has a pump gas 598 BBC in it. Should be blast cruising around town with somewhere north of 750 HP. Presently under construction, the motor is in but with no rad or accessory drive and you can stand on the floor inside the engine compartment to work on it.

Well considering Chevy was going to build the Monte as a front wheel drive, call it a Concours sticking with cars named in C. But the body was loved the Driveline was bashed so bad they rethought and wah lah first gen Monte Carlos, only other thing Chevy dropped was fibrrglass hood and fenders and deck lid, YES they did think of it as they were feeling an extra 400-600 lbs would make its Chevelle based chassis limited. Reason they didn't use B body was it was dead after 70 and would require redesign for next 2 yrs of body line production.
Now also another reason was GM found that body panel production ate up dies, so the set wear limits on dies as the dies have to also produce limited amount of production repair panels, but fitting a bad stamping would be up to body men not assembly line workers. Hence line limitations for production. H body dies for 75 had issues and it was cheaper to re do the floor dies rather than continue on. So.ingthing about excessive wear and some odd structural issues, some said because it took .ore metal stampings o er 76 up, on guy told me it was cause in 75 they trashed the floor pan die! And sin e they failed to bring rotary into production they lost rights to Mazda.
See THAT was part of GMs deal on WW2 treaty. The big three had to help Japan's fledgling yet decimated auto industry after 2 nuke's.
Never understood why GM and Ford collaborated to swap Asian companies in 70s except GM thought Toyota and others consideration were dieing . Hah Japs fooled everyone AND started teaching maintenance over replacement who h is the norm now. They don't always replace car just driveline.
Anyway would be sweet in an MC.
Considering the LS heads fit 289/302/351 Ford wonder if heads would also work on Ford v12 iterations.

Here's one coming from Australia. Looks like a much more serious effort.

WOW just WOW!!!... I thought the Mopar viper eng. was hot, but that was/is a factory designed eng. with a bunch of engineers and a lot of "puter" time. But these "home bru " engines show me that no matter how much the factory puts into development the gearheads can always come up with something better!! Yeah!! Dats da ticket!!
