I'm no expert but the threads I've read say that the WP pulley needs to be smaller than the crank pulley to speed up the water pump for more flow. There's other factors to consider as well. Radiator size and flow through it make a big difference also. Too slow or too fast of the coolant passing through the radiator will cause cooling issues. But I do know the stock setup for the v8s in the hbody and also the 70s vettes had a smaller wp pulley to speed up the pump for more flow.
Im sure someone will chime in with the sizes and other info. The water pump from the vette should work though. There is a small difference but I think its an external difference. Some threaded hole for a bracket on the top of the water pump may not be there on the vette wp.

The water pump pulley is overdriven on stock V8 Monza applications, so the wp pulley should be smaller than the crank pulley. The other thing that is funny is that Corvette short water pumps, as well as V8 Monza's, have a 3/4" fan pilot.

a DUAL DEEP GROOVE crank pulley for small block corvettes without power steering from 75-82.
Measures 7-3/4" in diameter and has the part # 469558
You will need the power steering add on pulley for use in cars with power steering.

CORVETTE WATER PUMP PULLEY 75- 82 DUAL DEEP GROOVE # 14023159 CJ is best to match crank but the WP pulley you have may be OK with an electric fan.
For a driver side alternator with 1969 and up heads use a 75- 82 CORVETTE alternator brackets and belt.
