I would like to upgrade my 1978 Monza 231 V6 clutch to a 10.5 clutch disk. Back in 1978 when I bought my first Monza new, the clutch when out at about 18,000. I don't know if that was GM or my wife's fault. Anyway, at that time Kenne Bell was the place for Buick V6 performance parts and I ordered a replacement flywheel that was drilled for both 9.5 and 10.5 clutch plates. What is available today as far as flywheels for my 231 that will accept a 10.5 diaphragm clutch?

Centerforce lists a steel flywheel for a 231 (#700010), but it's like $500!

Will any GM 153-tooth, internally balanced, 30 lbs +- flywheel drilled for a 10.5 flywheel work?

If you still have the Kenne Bell flywheel you can just have it resurfaced.

That flywheel and car is long gone. I ordered it new in 1978 and gave it to my niece in 1988 :bang: . I'm starting with a 1978 Monza Spyder that sat in a field for the last 5 years. Working on a restoration and adding most of the options I ordered back in 78.
