Postby vegajohncosworth » Fri Dec 22, 2017 11:08 pm

can anyone here recommend a proper engine oil pan to use with a stock '75 vega chassis and mark iv big block installation? using a motor mount kit from bob gumm and the hooker headers, turbo hydramatic 400 a/t. i have heard a stock replacement oil pan for a 1969 camaro will work. anyone have actual experience with this? thanks.

I used a deep Moroso pan for a big block Chevy II, partly because I found a deal on a used one and because I wanted a deeper pan.

WiseguyRC did a big block Vega wagon, maybe he will chme in with what he used.

smiley, did you use the pickup that goes with the pan? no fitment or internal interference issues?

Moroso makes their own pickup tubes for each depth with a welded retention tab.
Or they offer pumps with the pickup tube brazed in from the factory.
