Alternator mounting, need a pic of factory V8 monza

Postby AussieMonza » Tue Aug 29, 2006 8:27 am

We have another monza in our shop and the car has had twin turbo 350 SBC in it years ago, so everything has been changed about. Nothing original left in the engine bay.

The owner wants things tidied up and the only place to put the alternator is on RH side upper corner. Except the cylinder head only has 1 accessory hole. Or is there a low mount kit that fits on the LH side under the factory P/S pump?

What I need is a pic of the factory V8 setup with short water pump.

Anyone?

The right side alt mount is a bracket that mounts to the right side exhaust manifold. This sits the alt back so the pulley lines up correctly. there is also a set up that places the alt in the center of the intake area but was only used on factory A/C cars (as far as i know) which probably would be harder to find im not very familar with this set up as i have never saw this in person just in photos. hope this helps. i can take photos and post them if needed.
