Hello Doug,

It's been a while since we've spoken, I still have the #2 Astre GT and it is in storage collecting dust, but I am slowly collecting engine parts to rebuild it. They just aren't readily available anymore and I have to snag them up when I come across them. I'm trying to get the Sunbird somewhat finished up and running before I jump into another project of this magnitude! I've got ten years into this darn Sunbird now and I really want to get this thing finished up, although I don't really think that they are ever "Finished Up", LoL!
Nice to talk to you again Doug, Happy Holidays to you and your family!

Hello Everyone

Well we are getting closer, My son and I tried firing it up last Saturday, but we didn't have any luck, it popped a couple of times through the exhaust and that was about it. We ended up with a fuel leak at the fuel filter so we had to try and fix that, the more I tightened the fitting the worse the leak became. With the price of racing fuel these days we ended draining the tank and ordered a new fuel filter set up, and that's where we stand at the moment. We will give it another try in a couple of weeks, maybe I will have better news to report then. :th:

Just thought that I would share some of our progress. My son and I have gotten a lot done in the past year or so. It's been almost impossible to post pictures because of all stuff you have to do in order to resize all pics!
It's nice to finally be this far along in the project, it's always an accomplishment to finally hear it running!

Nothing Special, it's just Comp Cams 292H, it's 292 dur., 501 lift. It seems to be a pretty decent cam, so far, but I haven't driven it yet and don't know how my combination is going to work together yet.

Well, Hello to all of you out there!
I truly hope that everyone is staying healthy through all of this craziness right now!

I know that it has been a while since I have updated and have let everyone know what had been happening.

We are still working on the car, We had some electrical issues and have spent the last year tracing down all of our little "ghosts"! But, We have solved the problem now and the car is now running better than ever!

Take Care Everyone And Please Try And Stay Healthy!
