Thanx dude, it's coming along now, 2 more coats of red then a couple coats of clear, then on to all the pieces, fenders and hood.

Cool man, nice story. I have not seen another Monza other than stinkybutt's on the road in 20 plus years. Seen a monza coupe drag car at Cayuga yesterday tho.

Thanx man! Nothing better than a little exploratory surgery to find problems.

Plans have been scaled back somewhat right now, I just want to drive it again and I don't need 400 horsepower. My goal is to have this thing completed and on the road in time for the 2010 Monzaque. :)

OMG! You have no idea. My favorite pile like that came out of the rocker arms from mice making nests. Another spot they did this was in the driver side frame rail just as it bends around the front wheel well.

That's the hole I had to cut to get it out. LOL. Out came the nest with a couple tiny skeletons. Ha ha ha ha.

skeletons! LOL

I had my camino frame sitting outside for a few years. It was near the garbage can area and when I restored it, I found several Swiss Chalet rib bones that had been hauled up inside the frame rails. Chalet only has side ribs now and they suck. :(

A couple more pics out in the sun. I may not bother with the clear coat, it's pretty shiny now. 8)

In your opinion, I however don't want the steering / brake hardware to stand out. :)

Thanx eh! I like it. When its all back together, it'll look awesome I think. If the red is too much, I could add a chrome master cover to break it up.

Engine is going all black and will contrast nicely I think. That's the plan anyways... stay tuned!

im just funnin with ya more than anything , though if you gotta replace something its gonna suck

though its not my style to paint everything , to me the mono-chrome scheme looks better on the outside of the car , as long as you like is all that matters , in the end
