I should have had more stuff plated instead of painting but my Dad always said "You'll never see it at 60 mph"
Here's a pic I forgot. The seal on the input side of the diff should be called the yoke seal cuz that's what it does, seals the yoke to the housing. Gear oil can find it's way thru the pinion shaft / yoke ID connection. The trick is to silicone the flat washer and yoke. The seal was actually good in this one (replaced anyways) but there was oil everywhere underneath the car. Blue Loctite on the nut and snug down until there's no end play.
A piece of old fire hose makes great thermal protection for the parking brake cable.
