The passenger side is about the same. Most gm's from this era collect debris here but I've never had one that the cavities were FULL! It must have been parked under trees for years. A couple patches needed, no big deal.

I'll be starting a project journal soon. kline1 donated a good parts car to me. I'll use the shell and swap my parts over to it. I'm going to try to save the badly rusted car by going full tube frame eventually.

Excellent man, glad your not going to try and save that mess. Looking forward to the drag car journal! 8)

I know I got lucky with my Monza but I did wait for a good base car to come along. Mechanically it was a total POS but that didn't bother me. This car is so kleen, all the factory bending springs on the fuel and brake lines move and turn freely after 30 years.

Ceiling is ten foot mikey.

Well a couple years have gone by, a few setbacks along the way but I'm still here!

Finally found some ambition to restart this project and it is moving forward again finally.

After seeing how good acstestinc's spyder looks, I decided on red rather than black, so bay is going the same color.

Awww man. ok.

As soon as I saw your car , and read your from Ontario, I had a flashback.

It was 1994. I was driving the "mad max monza" It was- one side primer - one side spray can blue. Mirage Flares , 14" Cragers with wide rear tires and a little jacked up in the back. And oh yeah, Side Pipes :)

I was headed back from a Pink Floyd Concert at the Skydome a day earlier. A friend was following me back in his VW Bus.

After cruising with the traffic (75+mph) and wondering exactly where I was I realized we missed the turn towards the states and we were headed out towards kitchener on the 401.

I'd lost my buddy apparantly a few minutes back and thought I should probably pull over and not let him find out on his own he was headed away from home.

Right about then I spied a white Monza catching up to me on the highway. I couldnt believe it.

It was an aging white one with red interior and a similar red stripe from what I can remember.

I pulled out behind it and followed it nascar style for a little while. It exited the highway after a few miles. I was going to follow, but that would have left my buddy heading out the wrong way.

Sorry to hijack the thread. back you your resto. Looks awesome by the way.
