Unless you're not too concerned with performance, I would not run Flowmasters on a turbocharged application.

Hoonbash, i cant get the car on the lift right now, my shop is all packed up and I have a 64 vette on the lift doing a brake conversion. I will be happy to provide pics and a couple measurments but I am tied up with this house project, have to get it under roof. If your not in a giant hurry I will gladly help.

Andrew, you have alot more expierance then me with a turbo, so if you care to elaborate on a better muffler please do, I never turn down information. I just thought of the 3 chamber flowmaster as they are somewhat quiet and I thought they were a decent flowing muffler, I could be wrong. thanx

Your busy and that's OK as this doesn't look to be too bad to do plus the pics are a big help and I'm trying to catch the last 2 races of the year in 2 weeks. Question: I noticed the cross-member is not welded to the floor, I assume it's best to leave a bit of material in the notch area(vertical cut) for support?

Will cutting this area out with a zip-cut be a bitch? Torch? There's no plasma cutter available to me.

The crossmember is welded to the floor, the 2 pieces of 3x3 tubing for the trailing arm mounts are welded to crossmember, then the entire length of the 3x3 tubing both inside and outside are welded to the floorpan/frame plate. This is the section you remove from the stock mount, you section it out and then install the welded frame up in the notch and slot. Then the crossmember ends are welded to the rocker pinch seam underneath. I welded the entire length of the 2 inch side of the crossmember and 3x3 tubing length, (which was 12 inchs long if I recall,) to the pinch seam. Lastly, if you have a rollbar in the car, it would be even better to fashion 2 diagnol bars from the main hoop/crossbar down thru the floor to the top of the crossmember on each side of the tunnel hump, this would really help stiffen the rear of the car up

Make the cuts with a cut off wheel on a die grinder, thats what I used on my notchs in vega frame. It will give you the cleanest cut, and try to keep the cuts square and straight, the tighter the fit, the better your welding will be.

I also placed 1 inch long stitch welds to all the frame brackets your notching on the inside of the floorpan under the car, youll see when your looking up towards the shock mounts , theres a lip and you can neatly place stitch welds to secure all the brackets to the floorpan better. I did this all the way up to the bottom of the trunk floor.

I'm going to weld everything possible .No roll bar yet but for safety sake this winter it's going in,good-tip,subframe connectors already installed so it should be good and solid with this mod.

Hopefully my plan for the uppers will work and won't have to worry about any more rear-end issues.

Appreciate your time & assistance.!!

I will post the piant code for you, its oasis green. it actually looks like sour apple green to me in the sunlight. Its a differnt color thats why I am gonna keep it the same but add a pearl white "GT" stripe down the middle, and small strip of white to the rocker panels below the trim. It originally had satin black under the trim. This is a deluxe trim car.

Car status:Sorry guys, she has not had any lovin given to her lately, too busy with snowmobile engines.............50 chevy pick up subframe job, 64 corvette overhaul(complete rebuild), soon hopefully soon, get some headers built, some more plumbing for turbos, intercooler, then take it all back apart for paint.

EDIT: just looked at build sheet I have from it, paint code is: 939 on build sheet, when I look at the tag on cowl on car it says: 46 46 PNT.
