Hey Folks,
Well, I went out and did a little "garage sale'n" this weekend and come across this one amazing sale. Most of everything was "gearhead" stuff. BBC, Sbc, Sbf things. From valve covers, timing chain covers, hilborn air cleaners to complete engines. A dream come true ! Most everything was selling very cheap, I mean we are actually talking "A Buck $" for almost everything.
Ofcourse, I myself came upon a little deal that I just couldn't refuse. A 78-85 350, 4-bolt main, Car/Truck engine, casting #14016379. The cylinder heads are casting #462624, 1.94 in./1.50 ex. with a 62cc. The heads are brand new and have never been run, they came off of a GM 350 crate motor. The block is bored .030 over with Speed-Pro #H345NP pistons. It also has "pink rods & arp rod bolts. There is/was no cam in the engine.
The "claim" is on this engine that the son of the people who were having the "garage sale" built this engine 5-6 years ago when he was in Tech School as a project for himself, but had no vehicle to install it in when the project was complete for school. The engine has sit in a climate controlled garage since, the engine was run on the dyno for about 1-2 hrs. for break-in and "grading" and has not been since.
Needless to say, the price was right and I could not refuse !!! (Yea, I Stole This One Too!)
