Who needs floors?

When the brakes go out just use your feet like Fred Flintstone!

from the sides it looks to be worth a resto.

If you part it out, I'd be interested in the grilles.

Actually, the hood and the front beak would work if your not to far away.

The Car Next to it is mine as well. It is a 1950 Plymouth Business Coupe. The car belonged to my Great Grandparents. It Has 84,000 original miles and still runs and purrs like a kitten with it's flathead 6 cylinder.
As far as my SunBird, there aren't any parts for sale, I'm in the middle of putting a completely new floor pan in it front - rear. I just didn't get those pictures posted as of yet.
My teenage daughters keep claiming that it is a "Flintstones" car as well and want to take it for a spin around the block! Kid's, they come up with some of the craziest ideas! Guess that's why you got to love them!

Man that is a lot of work but, it looks like you can cut it. Looking forward to seeing it completed. It is great to see someone keep a car from the crusher.

That's what I was planning on doing with my 79 Spyder but everyone talked me into swapping my parts to the 75 shell I have. But then again it's not just the floor that's bad, the frame rail on the driver's side is bad all the way to the core support just about.

you got lucky that rust didn,t spread like it did on my 76 vega , they undercoated the car and the battery leaked really bad and totally rotted out the gusset plates you show in the last pic and even the rocker sill that ties into the rear of the front A-arms . grind the rocker sill to bare metal and thensome , mine where galvanized and caused issues with welding , also the sheetmetal is very thin ( .030" or so ) and burning thru it didn,t take much heat , also watch the paint on the outside of the car in that area i had a couple little fires while welding .

Yup....That last pistures shows exactly what my car doesnt have...lol

I am gonna run frame connectors as well as a rear subframe but I just dont know where or how to attach it to the existing chassis.

Imstill rolling ideas aroundin my head and making plans.

Those pictures help alot...rock on.

That car reminds me alot of my car if it where a hatchback.
I have the same issues.

God bless

This is the donor car in which I was able to get my floorpan from. In a collaboration with "Wyoming Auto Junkies" & "Peterpan", I was able to get this pan. Peterpan is the one who was able to put me in touch with Wyoming Auto Junkies to inquire about parts. I was lucky enough that they just happened to have a car with a perfect pan. As it turns out, I made two different 500 mile trips to Rock Springs, Wyoming to get this pan. In the end it was Peterpan who was able to get the floor pan cut out of the car for me in trade for parts off of the same donor car. So the donor car was put to good use by supplying both of us with things we both needed.
A GREAT BIG THANKS goes out to "Wyoming Auto Junkies" and "Peterpan" himself for all of his help!
The funny thing about all of this is, I never have met Peterpan yet. It just goes to show how well people can get along and help each other out when they have similar interests. That Is The True American Way!

Here are just a few more pictures. This is how she looked after completing the 5-lug rear conversion.
After that I started the "strip down".
