yet another vega in the collection

it is in way to good of shape to pass up

i'm not sure what i'm going to do with it yet

i have alot of options for motors

and i will probably do a 5 lug conversion for better wheel selection

my thoughts are get it running witch ever motor i use clean it up do the 5 lug swap a drive it

it don't need much so its not a major project like my other ones are it will be a driver

Thats a tough one, I know I am thinking about a V6 for my Astre too. I'd say the 3.8.

i have decided to build a crate around it basically box it up until i can get to it maybe when summer comes around again

i put it up on palets and built plywood sides allready now just need to get a roof over it to protect it from the sun and moisture

i will be collecting parts for it so when i get the time and money to do it all i will need to do is uncrate it and build it

yep its a vega in a crate

i will probably go with the 3.8 as it seems to be a simple swap with a good power to economy ratio

So to do the 3.8 swap we will need v6 frame mounts, motor mounts and a Monza K frame and is there anything else required? What about wiring and is there anything else?

radiator and mounts for it

wiring should be able to be modified easy

the BOP bellhousing or tranny depending on auto or standard

the correct exhaust manifolds

all should be fairly easy to get from a 3.8 monza

not sure if any thing else is needed

the monza k member is a good idea for strength but not a must

Ray is correct,my engine came out of an 84 cutlass. You have to drill and tap four holes [for frame brackets] then its all bolt in.I used 79 monza pulleys and brackets, even the clutch from the fan works [not fan]fan is also 79 monza.
