HOLY CRAP! That's some hot motorhead porn.

Nice work so far, Shoe. I was trying to figure out the exhaust. Were you saying you are running 4" to just under the firewall? Or farther back.

I remember when I first ordered 3" for my turbo project. I had no idea how big that was until it showed up. It was a pretty tight fit. Do you think you'll have to modify the floor for it? It's a real stove pipe tho. COOL!

That turbo is massive.

Is it the same in and out or are the side different with regards to impeller and compressor sides?

Are you building a real high RPM ride? Will that spool fast enough?
I know alot of turbo technology has come a long way and most turbos are mixed and matched to spool fast.

Looks sweet. You need a sweet looking forward facing aero scoop like mine...lol. Thats pretty much the only way youd get over 8" scoop height and still be able to see slighty. I think the larger cowl scoops look disproportionate.

God bless

Yeah, I think they look too big and block too much view. But if you're only racing in a straight line you don't have to see much, the tree and the track straight ahead.
That turbo is a big bad blow job.

thanks for the compliments.. sorry for the delays.. i just started a new job and its getting 10000% of my time right now. i cant hardly get on the internet anymore lol. yeah the downpipe is 4 inch from the turbine blades to the exhaust tip which stops at the pass feet. im going to need a fancy dr gas 4 inch round to 4 inch oval 45 mandrel to get it going rearward. even open downpipe it couldnt be louder than bigblock/cam/compression/flows/dumps. the turbo is 1.10 ar on the turbine and 75mm on the cold side so its a "big" compressor but can live on the street spool wise with the t4 based 1.10 turbine housing. ive got onnnnnnnnnnnnne more flange to get and the hotside is done!!!!!!!

Youve already got a hood thats cut...why not just get the scoop only and glass it in.

Those dimensions are fairly common...give or take an inch or two.

Had your heart set on a cowl hood? Probably much easier to get an aero scoop with those dimensions....Just facts...not trying to sway you.

Just an thought on the scoop. A "Grumpy Lump" would work for your height. I think there 9" tall.

well heres the "buck" of the scoop. this is the beginning of it. i need to decide ethier use this or buy a 6 inch harwood and cut some small holes in the front of the cowl for clearance (if needed) any opinions on my scoop for my sunbird coupe? i think it might look better on a hatch car... i dont know. i havent bought any of the glass materials yet so im still undecided on what to do... use mine design or buy the commmerical one.?

what ive made here is going to be covered in the fine texture fiberglass cloth stuff. then flipped over and glass reinforced with resin and chop matte. should be strong enough.
