small update, i shortened the overhang at the back of the scoop around an inch or so, that gave it enough to clear the passenger wiper arm. scoop is now gone to the bodyman to make it sit on the hood better and im going to make a glass piece to close off the gap between the vette insert and the hood at the front ill get some pics when i get it back.

What was the application for the wiper arm with the lower profile?

jon the wiper arm you are asking about was just a no name replacement one hanging on the shelf at part source. i never saw any specific application info on it. i wont be using it now with the mod to the scoop. i dont think it would have worked anyway.

Looks fantastic! I really like the scoop! Im thinking of either doing the same thing as you or I'm going to get a new hood with a 2" z28 cowl.

you can have a hood made with this scoop on it rob at showcars body parts made the mould so the scoop can be made as a bolt on or moulded onto a fiberglass hood if you desire he has a mould for a stock type vega hood wich can be built as either a pin on hood or a bolt on hood. be forwarned that he usually has a backup of orders to complete and it wont be perfect you will have to do some finish work to suit yourself, dont expect it to be a scuff and paint deal but it should be pretty decent, have lots of patience for your order and give a deposit not the full amount. have him email you pics of the completed hood before final payment and crating for shipping. not trying to scare you off its just what i would do buying from a distance. for me i can just drive over to the other end of the city and see his progress on what i want. best way for you might be to just buy the mould on version and get a hood from a reputable maker close to you and bond it on yourself. shipping might be brutal all the way from tronto canada to az for a full hood.

a few more, keep in mind the rear deck spoiler is not fitted or painted and striped yet, just sitting on there to give the idea of how the back will look when its finished.
