Tinker! "The Home Shop Machinist Forum" is all up in arms over Photo-Bucket's antics to get paid for a service they were supplying for free for years. You will need to pony up $400 [US] clams to link those in to anywhere from now on (expect increases I'm sure). You will now have to rescue your pic's and start "Re-sizing" to keep that lengthy photo essay that is "WayBad" Harry

here is how I did it with rod ends and bump steer adjustments, didn't cut it down but did cut some of the threads off of the rack so I could use the aluminum threaded tube.

A quick FYI about the outer tie rod Heim joint(or any Heim joint used in single shear); I see an Allen socket head bolt in the pic; there needs to be a washer under the head of the bolt that is larger in diameter than the heim ball. This is so if the joint fails and pops apart, it cannot disengage. Some racing venues may check as part of their tech inspection.

I became aware of the washer deal when I was getting my drag car ready for it's first NHRA event in 2016. I had built my car by the rule book in 2012, but somehow missed the Heim joint washer rule. The local tracks don't check anything very closely, so nobody caught it. It only makes sense that the washer is VERY important, but I was unaware of either the rule or the safety factor.
