Rebuilt the rack with the friends help,, this guy has just about as much time in this car as I do,,
took it out for a quick drive around the block, the wife's camera captured all the wind noise too.. I feel better
about how things are going,, still have LOTS of tuning to get done, but will cruise pretty good,,
It's put away till after Christmas,, working 3 jobs and Family duties are packing the schedule.. here's a quick video :th:
sorry about all the wind noise :bang: :bang: :bang:

Nice! 12's will be a piece of cake if it gets decent traction. Looking for mid 11's for my dads car.

Haven't got much done this winter but working my day job and side jobs,, trying to make enough money to buy more parts :D
I did put a 1 1/8" from sway bar on and just purchased a 1" rear tonight,, I also put a 7" dual power brake
booster on!! did some cold start tuning while it was 10 degrees this winter. it's really nice to stand outside the car,
turn the key and it starts and stays running :th:...
I'm going over everything that had a bolt on or off so I can be sure it stays together, tiding up all the loose ends,
I do have TERRIBLE BUMP STEER to get rid of,, getting the caster/camber set,
then take the front springs/shocks off and drill out the spindles for heim joint ends in place of the outer tie rods..
shim them up to get it as good as I can
making big plans to do Drag Week this year!!!

And finally we have the report I wanted a year ago, "Terrible Bump Steer"

Will be following how you fix this.

How did the brake booster affect your brake performance? I am using stock booster from late model H-body with master from mid 80's g-body.
Have pretty good brakes but so far I have been able to make them lock up the tires.

geesh,, you make it sound like this build has taken FOREVER!!! lol.. :bang: :bang: :th: :th:

haven't bled the brakes yet to see if the booster will make a difference,, but with 2 piston calipers up front and single discs in back,, the non power brakes left
much to be desired!! HOPEFULLY  within the next week I should have you answer on the brakes,, maybe next month on the bumpsteer.. I can tell you this,, mount your rack
as low as you can,, mine is to high and that's what is my major issue... I also shortened the steering arms and that made it even worse :bang: :bang: :bang:

Well so much for the engine starting all the time :bang: one day I did a start up and nothing,, if it ran it was on about every other cylinder if it started at all        :( :( :( :censored: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:
after research on the Megasquirt forums and FB forums,, the problem was, interference noise in the crank sensor wires( I hope that's all it was)! I put a 10k resistor between them and it has been working since :? .. I completely removed the s10 front suspension for, A-body spindles with narrowed Nova steering arms.. I have just about got all the bumpsteer gone in the 1"compression and 1" rebound.. but at 2" rebound I have still got more than I want,, when I get it back on the ground I will try to get it out as much as possible  ,,,, I put my 1" narrowed upper a-arms back on and got my camber within 1 degree neg(in at the top) and caster at 1 1/2 degrees pos. sorry it's taken so long for a follow up,, between working 7 days a week and family stuff, the car is just on the back burner.. here's some pictures of the progress :?

s10 stuff

these have steering arms from a friend,,, not what I used
