have you tried to fill the trans up with fluid yet? i found to get the required amount of fluid in mine i had to jack the car up from the right side to simulate the angle the trans would sit with the camaro bell, i just jacked the car till the mount pad on the trans was pretty well square to the floor, filled it and put the plug back in then lowered it back down on the tires. only seemed to take about a litre of fluid be fore i jacked it, got allmost three in it the way i did it.i used a funnell and a long piece of plastic tube ran it up to the engine compartment and filled the fluid from there. on another note how did you figure the proper angle to weld the brackets on the rear end? im putting an 8.5 in mine as well just not shure what way to get the brackets on so the pinion angle is correct.(rookie builder lol!) ill start a thread in suspension, steering and brakes on this subject to keep it out of your project thread.
