robert havent seen you post in long time hope all is well.bet your car is gonna be a killer. cant wait to see it.. i saw in the journal that you removed undercoating on underside of car. im just doing my gas tank(WITH TRANNY FLUID) AND IT IS SLOW AND MESSY. ANY ADVICE TO GET THE STUFF OFF. GUY IN CHASSIS SHOP IS WELDING ON A SUMP IN REAR OF TANK AND WANTS IT REAL CLEAN BEFORE HE STARTS WELDING AND CREATING HEAT, WHICH WILL MELT THE UNDERCOAT AND MAKE A MESS.ENJOY THE HOLIDAYS. ART

Hey Art, yes everything is good thanks. The Vega should be nice when done. For removing the under coat on my car i used a small propane torch to heat it and a scraper to remove it,then scotch brite. I did it like this on my tank too but my tank has been bone dry since 1987 so it was all good.

Robert, you have to post pics of it all in primer and torn down, you cant just go from robin egg blue to a nice green perfect paint job without pics, its not allowed...LOL :D

its a build journal, it also makes the rest of us lazy people who dont work on thier cars get off our butts and get motivated..hint,hint

long time no see, hope all is well.

No, i deleted the chrome around the doors and pop out window glass too. I want it plain like a old R code Camaro.

Its a jaguar color green, applying more coats of color than the paint calls for to get it to darken a little more. its close to British racing green just a little lighter.
The Vega kinda looks like a frog to me so this color fits the car :th:
