First the fuel bowls http://www.superiorairflow.com/ his name is Gordon Bishop and he has a bad as AMC that is featured in an earlier car craft look that up.
We have done all your misstakes leaned out and breakdown
A sugestion on the fuel demand:
buy a cheap catchtank up front 1 or 1/2gallon or so and if you have a red holley pump that feed that from the back, or keep the bad BG in the back
Because consider G-force on all that fuel that has to go all the way from the back under hard accelration.
And hook the catch tank to your new Holleypump and the regulator and feed the carb with 2 AN-8
You will never make it with one needle, you will get lean again and break the engine, i promise you that for sure. it doesnt matter if you go for 150 needle its not enough anyway.
Its crazy but my carb is for sale maybe i send back to you and you have almost bolt on power!!! and safe...
Keep the big heads with 230 runners didnt you have two of those? And keep the compression, dont lower it
I do run 9:7 in compression with 35 degre timing no problemo.
E-85 has 105 octane
I will try to post a youtube clip on my friends that has a Opel stationWagon with a SBC Dart 400 and procharged pushing 25-27 psi they make 8,25 @ 153 mph @ 1/4 mile
they have the same setup as me with the same carb and catch tank, they have been Champ for 3 yers in a row in Sweden with blowthrough and E-85.
Watch the youtube clip on my thread here on the project journals
