75 Vega

Postby ShovelHeadShawn » Wed Apr 21, 2010 9:15 pm

i figured since i am new i would show what i am working on. it is a 75 vega, somone alredy put a v-8 in it but somone done some relly good work on it and somone else done some relly bad work on it. it has a 10 bolt posi in it alredy (some of the good work) and weld up headders (bad work). the trans mount was spot welded to the floor, i took a hammer and with 4 hard hits the crossmember hit the floor lol. the wiring has been completely hacked up. I want to make a nice clean ride out of this so I plan to put the interor back in it. i also want to put a set of v-8 springs up front and camaro rear springs. i also plan to build a 350 4 bolt high nickel block with an auto. if anyone knows about a parts car within a few hundred miles of tennessee let me know.
here are the picks of when i first got it

It looks like its in pretty descent shape,What color are you going to paint it.
Keep looking in the craigs list section on the forum for parts cars near you.
Post lots of pics of your build and have fun with it.

Great start. I have a couple of GT dashes
I have the console and shifter that fits that floor hole.
There are dash pads in my storage room but none are perfect What else might you need?
I am in Wisconsin but I can ship it if you need it. BTW,Wisconsin has been out of clean Vegas for the last 3 decades
Tennesee still has some. You just gotta kick the dirt a little more these days.

Looks good so far. The best advice I can give is to block sand, block sand and block some more. When you think you have it perfect do it one more time. It's a lot of work but now is the time to make it pefect, especially since you are going black.
