Do we seem to be seeing a lot of this lately, or is this just my imagination? Too Bad all that work and I'm bored :( :? :bored: I hate to see this happen. It almost always seems that the seller is sorry after the sale. I hope this trend ends soon, At least this isn't a POS that brings down all H-Bodies He did a lot of nice work on that car. I hope that prolsc come to terms with whatever is causing the change of heart with his "Beast". Harry

Hi everyone! I just took possession of Danny's Vega. It changed hands a few times in between, but it is my intention to finish the car and keep it for a long while! This is not my first Vega, as I had one back in the early 90's. It was a 400 small block conversion and the work was shoddy at best.... Regardless of the continual problems I LOVED the car. Finances and life dictated the sale of the car as I was fresh out of high school and needed a dependable daily driver which my Vega was clearly not. Through the years since I was able to build a nice life and have owned many, many hot rods but still yearned to get another Vega. Came across many and unfortunately most were not nearly in the shape I desired.... until I came across Danny's build. The first thing I noticed was that it was built almost exactly as I would have built the car. The second thing I noticed was the craftsmanship, it is obvious that he built the car with his heart and soul. I haven't been through it all yet as I have owned the car for two days but so far I have been impressed! The gentleman I got the car from had removed the nitrous, parachute, and wheelie bars. I have put the wheelie bars back on already, and plan to have the parachute back on tonight and hopefully the nitrous as well. From there, I just plan to enjoy the car for the remainder of the good weather here in Indiana and then when winter hits the car will have an appointment with my painter for a fresh color. After that, I will finish out the interior and hopefully the car will be completely show ready by May of 2015.

When I got the Vega, the "interim" previous owner removed the parachute, wheelie bars, and nitrous.... he said he didn't think pro street cars looked good with all that stuff on it...... I disagree! So I have returned all of the above back to where they belong. Wheelie bars went on right off, then welded the parachute brackets back on and ran the cable release. Last night I got the nitrous back on, just need to wire the solenoids and it will be finished as well! I have had some awesome cars in the past that have drawn tons of attention (70 Plymouth Duster 440: done in Hemi Orange, 62 Pro Street Chevy II: with 468BBC, 69 Pro Street Corvette: Daytona Yellow, tubbed, 540 BBC, and Lambo doors, 40 Ford Sedan Deluxe: street rod with beautiful House of Kolors Lime Time and Silver two tone paint) but this car has drawn a crowd every time I drive somewhere and park.... and I haven't had it to a car show or cruise-in yet... just running to the gas station or parts store.
