ls into 77 Vega GT

Postby glennseidel » Sat Dec 04, 2010 1:33 pm

Hey all
Just thought I"d start this journal on this swap. First kudos to my Fiance Cecelianne she purchased this car and this vette motor for me. How lucky can I be.
Plus this is the first time I've tried a computer controlled install so I'm a little apprehesive, this will be a sentence to laugh about when the project is done. Enjoy the pics more progress to follow!!!

So the big question is ...does your Fiance have any available sisters? Looks like you have a nice ride to start with and transplanting a computer controlled engine is not so bad once you get over the original intimidation.

good luck

You can buy a wiring harness from painless and ur done with engine wiring...did it with a tbi 350 into a YJ and had no problems.
Drive, break, repair...repeat!

72 Vega, 350 ZZ4, patriot heads, air gap intake, 750 dbl pump...power glide...

That's bitchin'. It is a big help when your spouse is behind you. My Wife is really great.

On the LS. I just found out, watching Extreme 4x4, you can just unbolt the intake and flip it around!!! WOW. That could be helpful for a cowl induction mod.

No need to buy an aftermarket harness if you are a little confident in wiring. I just did my stock F-body LS1 harness. The wiring diagrams can be found here:

So what happened to this build? I have been seeing more & more LS transplants and do believe they are the small blocks for the future and cost is coming down. JS
