Got any details on the 215 install?
Any pics of the fan, power steering, motor mounts, etc?
Are those headers or exhaust manifolds? If headers, where did you get them from?
What are you running for brakes and brake master cylinder?
Thanks.
Hey, to be honest the coversion turned into a bit of a nightmare, got rid of the viscus fan and replaced with a switced 14inch fan on rtadiator though had to cut out the front and move fan about 4 inces forward, had to get a custom built rad to fit. the power steering is the original box with a remote elctric pump from a cirtreon saxo hidden up under wing. motor mounts we made using original rover mounts and addapting to bolt onto original mounting points. the exhaust manifolds we had to make so they wrap around steering arm basically bought the flanges and a load of pre bent pipe then chopped and welded together to fit in.... took ages and was a complete nightmare then had to wrap in heat proof as it is really close to body.. the engine is mounted very low so had to adapt the sump to fit round the cross member and make shallower so it dosnt hit every bump on the road. modified the engine bay and wheel arch bits to fit the motor in.
the brakes are standard at the mo have grooved the discs on front to help but they are not great, trying to work out how to swap as calepers are built to axle.
am using a lt77 gearbox out of rover sdi had to modify clutch to hydrolic using a master cylynder from a land rover.
Over this we had to mod where under the back seats so could get two small exhaust boxes in, had a prop shaft made.
Had to move alternator as it was too low before so made braket and tensioner then added a tensioner wheel to keep belt tight,
Remote oil filter under the passenger side wing.
Since finishing it some arse has driven into the front so am rebuilding again, goona put in a remote oil cooler and improve the wiring at front, chopeed down bumber to make two quarter bumpers and making a new grill.
ill get some more pics of build up when i have time.
