Motion clone

Hello,
New to the site and this is my first post. My project is a 72 Vega wagon that I am cloning into a Motion ZLX Phase III.
The car came from the San Jose, Cali. area and had been garaged its entire life and had been sitting since the owner died in '91. Other than some areas around the front windshield, there is zero rust in the car. I'm doing all the work myself except for the exterior paint. The engine will be a 454 with ZL1 aluminum heads, T-101 magnesium 4-speed, Hone-O-Drive overdrive unit and a 12 bolt. The car will be done straight 1970's with Cragar S/S wheels, bias ply tires, Hurst Ram Rod shifter, etc.

Thanks,
Tracy

I refuse to pay 300.00 for a big block plate, so I made my own.

I'm in need of one of those, I refuse to pay 300 too. Would you be willing to make one for me? Nice job on the car so far.

Motion did wagons. I just don't know what a ZLX Phase III is. That must be code for "One bad Mutha".

You might be interested in this book. It has a bunch of Motion Vega specific stuff in it.

I've seen old coverage of the small block ones that Motion did and they may have done a big block one, but I have never seen or heard of any.
The ZLX Phase III was the mac daddy of all the conversions that Motion did. While I'm not going big compression on the engine, I am going for the
look of the Camaro I posted. It is one of the the ZLX cars, as shown on the scoop. Yes, I have a copy of that book. I've saw those original copies
go for 60.00 to 75.00

Excellent fabrication work. I am equally envious and impressed.
This early Vega is in good hands.
Great choice on the engine. Go BIG(block) or go home. 8)

Thanks.
I forgot, I did find some small pin holes on the pass. side window ledge. Also, I used 1 3/4" .095 chromoly tubing for the frame connectors.
