so far it has run as good as 12.7xs on a foot brake, this is the $200 motor i picked up (after selling off extra parts) with 70k miles

it is way over geared with the 4.11 and the powerglide, it needs probably a 4.86. it is crossing the finish line at less than 5300 rpm shifting at 6150

i think on the transbrake with the right gear she will go deep into the 12's

This is being considered but will likely go on my other car with the same engine. This car will continue to run in the footbrake 12.0s and slower class for now.

I have it into the 12.2's and that is on the foot brake. Now that points are over for the season, but there are still a couple test and tune sessions, Iam thinking about taking it out and launching on the transbrake ... see what it will do.

any guesses at how much the ET will drop on a trans brake?

im thinking it might not even change for the better,. it probably depends on type of suspension you have.(didnt read the specs on your suspension parts), just saw the pics on last page. what a nice ride. art

Excellent thread and most excellent fab work! I'm gonna borrow your sbc cad drawing as well. :th:

There is no video therefore it makes no sound.
