Some more pics.
Got the frame assembly fully installed,
I didnt full weld pinch weld area. I'm pretty sure i have enough everywhere it needs to be thou.
I plan to epoxy/dp 90 all I can. seam seal everything so i dont have future rust issues from nooks and crannies.
This car is going to bee driven. Alot. I hope.

Waybad. heres some pics of front attachment area. Not pretty. was very difficult to weld all those layers in that area to the thicker frame rail. i just kept working my way back and forth trying to make sure all burned in as well as poss.
I didnt weld the entire rocker pinch weld.
I welded the entire torq box area, rear crossmember thru floor pan area, rear foot well area, factory trans crossmember area and the front wheelwell/lower cowl/footwell area.
I feel this is still way better than just a standard frame tie. prob overkill for what i'm ever going to do with this car. should stiffen it up and give a good feel for sure. and no jungle gym to climb over just to get in. :)

Started the front core suport mods for bigger radiator.
notched out the frame to clear the width. notice pass side rolled in for lower hose nipple to clear.
I welded nuts in bottom of frame for cradle to bolt in so radiator can be dropped out of the bottom, because it fits up under header panel at top and wouldnt be removable from top without body panel removal other wise.
cradle and other still in progress.

Hey, by the way, thanks all for the good words from all. I'm just trying to pull the my favorites from this group that i see and adding my twist.
Thanks all for sharing, I couldnt have gotten this far by myself.

Darrell,

Have you made anymore progress?

I am considering swiping your entire idea for the subframe connectors. Is there any particular reason you chose to notch the tubing around those brackets under the floor instead of just notching the bracket and welding the connector to it?

Thanks,
Chris
Looking for a good one...

Chris
just getting back to this, just seen your question. the reason i chose to notch is ease of install. To cut that trans crossmember area was going to be a pain, and my way seemed to offer more surface area to weld to.

i spaced the heater back into the inside of firewall to gain more clearence for engine, and also to clear trans tunnel enlargement made earlier. also had to modify defroster ducts. worked out great. see later pics of it in place.

Modified Monza clutch pedals to push a clutch master cyl. instead of pull a cable. Changed to pivot point. Fabricated reinforcment plate for firewall/brake/clutch master area. relocated wire harness bulkhead connector just a little to make room for clutch master. This should solve the fire wall flex

Disassambled the seat bases of some nice import seats i picked up. Had to fabricate all new mounts and use universal slides to get them in there. Turned out real nice thou.
Had to get some motivational color on something....so.. I sqirted the front peices and had to stick em on to fit the grille, and make mounts for it since they got deleted in the core suport re do.
color is 72 GM code 34. Turquise. I dont think it was on Vegas, but is 72 color.
I have no clue on what the seats are out of, I anyone can identify them. Let me know

Scraped all undercoating and cleaned bottom of car. Ready for seam sealing and paint. Blows me away how clean this little gem is. I will Epoxy whole bottom and wheel wells, and undercoat wheel wells as this is going to be a driver.
