Pulled dummy engine and trans back out. Rolled into booth to do Epoxy paint. Need to prep engine bay and a little more cleaning before I spray.
Glad to be done with most of the fabrication and modification aspect of this car.
By the way, doors are all stripped to bare metal and primed already as well. Just no pics right now.
Gotta strip quarters and roof still, clean and paint interior floor pan.
Then I can actually start final assembly. Fitment, body panel message and final Exterior paint.

Your sure off to a great start...what a nice solid piece to start with! I like the way you have done a bunch of things, well thought out for sure.
Are you going to repaint it the same by chance? I couldn't ever see me painting mine like that, buuuuuut, that really looks cool on there & again thought out to look like some of the cues from the era...Motion back area & kinda Vega center stripe. Keep us posted! Thanks for sharing, Lorne

Thanks thanks thanks.
A lot of people think i should keep paint scheme, but,,, its gonna go. This is gonna be a driver, if it were just a weekend toy i prob would keep the patriotic scheme. I like it, just not everyday. The white is pearl white. This was prob pretty cool when it was done originally.
Its gonna be turquise with some twist of GT stripes or possibly Yenko Graphics.

Very nice fabrication. :th:
That paint scheme would only work if you were doing a retro look.

Got some more done this week. Removed windsheild for a awsome sight. I bet not many vega windsheild jams look like this.
Bottom and engine bay painted.

Thanks for the info on the cross member. Since I had to cut my floor out to fix rust, I decided to cut the cross member and run the tubing beside it.

You are making some serious progress now! It inspired me to get out in the shop today and get some work done on mine!
