75 Monza (rhd) rebuild

Postby qld monza » Thu Apr 14, 2011 6:52 am

it's probably time i started a project journal of my monza rebuild, the stage i'm at now is doing something different with the front bumper and valance ,old one is in very sad condition and chances of obtaining a better condition one over here is near impossible.i was looking through ebay and saw 69 camaro valance panels for $85 and thought i can do something with that so here's some photos of where i'm at what do you think.

You can make just about anything work, if you really want to.

Yes, that looks good, driving lights would fit there real nicely, or air intakes for a dual snorkle air cleaner. My air dam is off a 320 BMW European specs, still have to finish the ends, but just about anything can be adapted. It looks good, be glad to see it finished, keep the pictures coming.

Looks nice but will it allow enough airflow to prevent overheating?

good question Merle i would say it will affect cooling maybe i might need to add some extra air intakes behind the number plate or lourves to let more air in.will have to wait till it's all back together and drivable hopefully by our summer over here until then it's good to look at.Ian

Here is some photos of the new cowl i made i couldn't reuse the air intakes (paper thin from rust) went searching for some donor ones picked up some at a local swap meet 3 for $5 of a 63 Ej Holden cause they looked about the right size .Had to shorten them by 4 inches .Ian

Ian, nice job. You certainly have some good skills (and it looks like the Monza is putting them to use  ) Keep the pics coming, I love them.
