Wow,

You guys are sharp eyed! I threw it up there as I need some quick cash but at 1800 firm I have no bites. My wifes car took a dump and I need to get her something else. I don't want to sell and she doesn't want me to sell but I have to take my chances.

Sorry dude. The more I read about that L33 the more I think it's the best bet too. When I researched what you said about boring it out for the original LS1 piston bore I was really surprised to find the information. I guess there's a lot of sleeve to bore out there. Having the ZO6 head is a big perk too.

Best of luck on your situation. Getting the right local buyer can be a challenge. The price is good based on my research.

don't tell the wife but I don't think it's going to sell. I'm still going to do the swap and have gotten as far as getting another intake and pulled the car into the garage to start yanking the motor. For a budget motor, the L33 was my best bet. Lots of perks with it. :th:

Indeed I did. I had several life altering things happen and had to liquidate almost everything I had. Here it is three years later and almost fully recovered (financially). I do have another project lined up and yes it's an h-body and it will follow the same build as the Olds. I'll post a project journal for the new project as well. But for the "1980 Olds Starfire Project, L33 5.3 litre", This book is closed. :D
