I finally got the 76 towed home ($85.00 for a 1 mile tow), and here are some pics of what i'm tearing down and replacing on the 72 from the 76.

Take lots of measurements and build a jig or two to ensure everything goes back on where it should be.

Lets just spot welds, spot welds, spot welds. :bang:
And some pics of the 76. (just for the hell of it). One of the beams from the fire is stuck under the car.

i'm going to take each side off one at a time, i'm starting on the drivers side and i will take off the one on the 76 and then put it on the 72, then i will take the front rad support off the 76 and put it on the 72, i just need to straighten the 76 one as it got a little smashed in the left headlight area.

It's been awhile since i posted, I finally have a right front fender and got the inner fenders cut off the 72, progress is going slow as I'm still trying to save up for a new roof for the garage( hurricane Sandy tore it up, pretty bad) and my brother in-law borrowed my tool box, to use as he tries to get his business back on it's feet again since the fire, (so I'm using the Vega to hold my tools) which is hindering my efforts a bit more.
I hope to have the roof on before winter, which means next summer i can go at the car full force.

I have tons of chrome that came inside the car when i bought it, but I'm not sure what it is all for, I was wondering if anyone can tell me the difference between hatchback and wagon, windshield chrome(as i also got some wagon parts inside the car as well), I also have a good 73 rear bumper I'll be putting up for sale(to help move the project along), I also have a good set of wagon taillights, and taillights for 74-77, which i will also be putting up for sale, I also have some hatchback interior parts, which i would also like to sell but there size might be a problem shipping.

I hope to put up some pictures of the chrome soon if it will help describe them better.

I finally got enough money saved up to get the new roofing, and myself and a friend started to have at tearing up the old roof only to find this mess underneath, to save a few bucks (i borrowed), I went ahead and bought some 1x4 and I'm just going to replace the bad areas where i will be screwing in the new roofing.
Here's some pics for your amusement.
