thanks for the pics seeker. looks like a couple are close, but not touching.look like if you rotate the #1 boot down, it will have more clearance. i see you have those header bolt lockers on there. any tricks or problems tightening them in. thanks and good luck racing. art

yes, drivers side #4 and #6 need to be ground to fit, #4 cannot be used with my dipstick, but otherwise easy to do

so the transmission bellhousing split on my first pass on the weekend. got a new non-lockup th350 from a buddy and going to put it in this weekend. might be time to do the alternator and possibly fix the few other problems that have been pissing me off since the rebuild finished.

Do you have the proper flex plate installed? It's pretty easy to overlook that detail.
I've seen a SBC 400 with the wrong flexplate split transmission bellhousings. :bang:

it has an SFI flywheel that came off the old one, we are thinking due to circumstances, it was probably self inflicted damage
